    ×The Everly Brothers Experience

THE ZMED BROTHERS have celebrated the pivotal sounds of The Everly Brothers music with enthusiastic crowds all across the US and overseas in prestigious venues. The Zmeds say, “We are not impersonators, our aim is to honor the aesthetics of their iconic sound and honor their unique place in music history all while having a little fun telling our own personal story,” and they do just that. Growing up with a father, (Adrian Zmed) as a traveling singer/dancer/actor (Grease 2 Bachelor Party, T.J. Hooker), and a mother (Barbara) as a second-grade teacher in a suburb of Los Angeles, the Zmed Brothers continually strive to pay homage to their roots by always infusing an instinctual blend of entertainment (a la Smothers Brothers) and contextual education in their performance. THE ZMED BROTHERS are absolutely thrilled to be able to contribute to a cause that supports the recognition and preservation of the intimate origins of America's greatest Rock n' Roll singing sibling duo.

  • Raine Hamilton TrioRaine Hamilton Trio
    ×Raine Hamilton Trio

Resonant, acoustic chamber folk with an otherworldly edge, and a lyric presence that cuts deep. Prism-clear vocals and strings; A combination of vocal agility and power. Raine’s new album, Night Sky, tips between the earthly and the otherworldly; it is anchored in relatable lived experience, while reaching into the space just beyond, thinning the veil between here and there, affording safe passage to the rough and beautiful place. Raine’s ethereal voice and lyrics are at the forefront of these powerful and relatable tunes, written both in English and in French. Alongside cello and double bass, and with Raine on violin or guitar, these songs have a moving string quartet feel with a cosmic reach.

Raine is also a charming and funny storyteller, pairing her vulnerable tunes with engaging story intros. Raine believes that music is for everyone, and that we all have something to share. An experienced educator, Raine offers workshops in songwriting and fiddle tune writing (EN/FR). Raine also offers concerts with American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation, to help make live music and the community that comes with it accessible to the Deaf community.

Ladom Ensemble is the best example of musical integration that defines this country. Drawing from Persian, Balkan, South American, and Turkish music, these four musicians effortlessly integrate these musical genres and blend them into a contemporary classical framework. Ladom Ensemble engages the audience through their energetic performances, mingled with the musician’s cultural and musical stories that furthers the audiences overall experience. With a unique combination of instruments consisting of accordion, world percussion, cello, and piano, they create a distinct yet accessible sound that will be a memorable performance for all ages. Original compositions such as Raha, Noor, and Veles I & II represent the ensemble’s vast musical works of Middle Eastern persuasion, while their own arrangement of Brahms’s Hungarian Rhapsody, Piazzolla’s Libertango, and even Weird Fishes by Radiohead, gives familiar works a refreshed musical diversity to share.

  • A Prairie Boy's LifeA Prairie Boy's Life
    ×A Prairie Boy's Life

A Prairie Boy’s Life is an entertaining evening of Canadian song featuring John Greer’s recently composed work “A Prairie Boy’s Life”, which draws its inspiration from William Kurelek’s writings and paintings. The music is scored for vocal quartet and four-hand piano, and while it harkens back in feeling to the music of the Romantic salon, it is also filled with contemporary references. Snowstorms, softball, prairie crocuses, and an ecstatic chorus of mosquitoes are all brought to life with projected images of Kurelek’s renowned paintings as the back drop. Both moving and humorous, this performance features some of Canada’s most engaging and compelling singers and pianists.  The performers, including Tracy Dahl, Monica Huisman, Rose van der Hooft, Jamie McLennan, Mel Braun, Laura Loewen, and John Greer are also available to give a pre-concert presentation about the work, or to run masterclasses/private sessions for singers and/or pianists.
